7 Critical Reasons Why Marketers Use Mini-sites!

The use of mini-sites has become the mainstream for most internet marketers.  Some people claim mini-sites to be “trendy”, while others know they are here to stay.

Their use is not just a fad, mini-sites out perform every other type of website in the history of the internet as long as they are used wisely.

Here are 10 critical reasons why we see them in use everywhere we surf:

1) They can be created quickly!  Any marketer will tell you, if you don’t know already, time is of the utmost importance when selling any product.  The quicker a sales letter, order page, and product gets in front of buyers, the faster you make profits.

2) They can be generated easily!  Why waste precious time and effort struggling to create a massive informational site to sell a product?  Think about it.  A person can have a mini-site up and running in a matter of a couple of hours.  Wow, less frustration and stress to make solid profits!  What a concept!

3) Mini-sites are cost effective!  Everyone wants to save a buck these days, especially with the way our economy is going.  The price of gasoline and oil alone is causing inflated rates for just about everything we buy.

Why pay the extra $300-a couple of thousand dollars to have a webmaster or designer create one for you when you can build your own free?

That’s right!  There is free software on the net like Mozzila for instance that you can download and use to generate mini-sites.

FYI, in most cases you can generate a site and have it up and making profits,
subscribers or driving traffic to one of your other sites, before a professional can place you on his or her schedule.

4) Mini-sites have a primary focus!  They focus on one objective — usually to call a person to act — to subscribe to a newsletter, click an order button, or click a link on a site referring them to a product.

The more narrow the focus the less confused visitors will be.  I know from experience and from hearing other marketers say, it is easier to keep the visitors attention and call them to act when we only give one choice at a time.

Remember, there is great wisdom in this statement when you generate any website.

5) You can test headlines and sub-headers faster!  If the sites can be built quicker and easier, don’t you believe they can be tested faster to see what works and doesn’t work?  It sounds like a big “cha-ching” to me!

6) Mini-sites can be tested for search engine optimization quickly too!  You don’t
have as many pages to go through— the fewer pages you create, the more time saved so you can do other things like write articles or create another site you can sell products or link to.

As long as your sales letter and so forth has good content, Meta tags, descriptions, and keywords your site can be optimize more efficiently and get better rankings.

7) Mini-sites are so easy and quick to create you can generate many for different purposes!  I use them as a means to make different streams of profits and lists.

Here is an example:  I may have 2 or 3 for the sole purpose of gaining subscribers to different newsletters describing the use of the products I’m selling, while I have 5 or 6 others that promote affiliate products or my own.

I interlink them with each other and with other high-traffic sites making them more attractive to search engines.

If you are tired of wasting time, energy, or money on your websites and want to make profits or get subscribers faster, try spending a one time fee on a good program that shows you step-by-step how to set up and use mini-sites. (or join Family Networker now )  It will be the best return investment you can make.

Look at it this way, it can be like having your own energized bunny where you can create, and create, and create some more to serve whatever purpose you have in mind and not spend another dime paying other people to do it for you.

Website Ranking

I don’t know about you but I often wonder how my websites are doing, my website ranking, and am I doing what I need to for the bots to find me and how does my site looks to the search engines.  Oh I know some of you are thinking no I really don’t want to know then I would really see how bad my website ranking and some have gone to Alexa and check your ranking there and see that it’s in the millions.

Well I on the other hand want to know – I  want to know what needs to corrected, I want to know if I’m getting noticed – there is lot of hours that are put in and you NEED to know.  You have to remember that the more that you learn about you, your site and how the internet views you – the better.  Wouldn’t it be nice to know how you are doing – like a report card that you get in school – well I have found a tool that does just that.

When I put in my blog, I found out right away that my weakness was not being seen by directories – this is great to know as I have to admit that this is an area that I really never paid attention to.  The other thing I loved about this was that the info was all there – Google page rank, Alexa ranking, your domain age, how much it’s worth, your backlinks, last time a bot was there – pretty cool huh.

Ok you go to Kooiii SEO stat checker and just add your URL and you will get a report just like the one above – now just don’t look at it and go oh no – look at it as a report card and what do you do when you get an average report card – you study hardier, you work hardier to bring your grade up – well this is what you do with this info.

So hope I have helped you with see your website ranking – I call it a report card and now you know where you need to make improvements – I sure have my work cut out for me – don’t forget to bookmark this site so you can watch your grades get better – good luck everyone

Metapad has sure made my life alot easier

Well you know me and I’m always looking for things that will save me time so that I can keep somewhat caught up lololol (if that is possible) .  My friend, Dave, found this for me and thanks Dave – this has been a real jewel.  Metapad has sure made my life alot easier and I’m going to tell you how and why.  Here are some more of my little secrets oh how I keep my websites, squeeze pages, banners etc. out there – try this it works.

For everyone that is using notepad – you are going to love Metapad.  Metapad is a small, fast (and completely free) text editor but here is the best part – when you put in an URL – you will be able to click on it from your document unlike notepad.  Metapad has sure made my life alot easier because I have what I call is my cheat sheets.  They are not as organized as I would like but they work lololol

Most know that I own/operate traffic exchanges, text ads sites and paid to click sites and this is how Metapad has been so great for me.  You know when you belong to many sites and then you want to promote thing and you have to go and hunt for the URLS – well here is my system.  I made up some cheat sheets and what I did is I added all my URLS on them – I have the main URL and then the URL to the ad material that I want to use (banners 468, 125, splash pages etc.)  and I have that one named nancy-links.

Over time that file got so big that I had to make new ones and this is why Metapad is better as any URL that you put in there is automatically clickable – so makes it lot faster for me to get to more sites – copy and paste and I’m gone.  Now what I have been doing it breaking this huge file down into smaller ones.  I have one that is called text links – now this is my cheat sheet where you need just a one-liner and your URL – example Internet Marketing Made Easier For You – Free Report http://onlinecoursesinmarketing.com/.

So with all them in one cheat sheet, I can just copy, paste, copy paste, copy paste and off to another site.  This is great is you are on lot of text ad sites and I also use that for a quick Tweet on Twitter.  The other site that this works well is the LiiveLinkCafe.  A few minutes and I have what I want to promote done – just copy and paste and this is one that I have on my daily schedule and Metapad has sure made my life alot easier to get this one done.

Another cheat sheet that I made it a banner one and this is mainly for my paid to click sites – I have the goto URL (website, splash page, squeeze page, etc.) and then the image URL and it’s just easy then – open up multiple sites (which I also do) and then add them all at one time.  Now don’t forget on this cheat sheet – add both your 468 and 125 banner URLs.

Now the other cheat sheet that is a lifesaver for me is the one that I named codes.   This is the one that I have the full code for promoting with – and this is great on text ad sites and the list building sites, great for when you want to add it to a post or anywhere you need the HTML code for it to be seen.  I use this alot on the Ning social sites that I’m in also.  Now if you are wondering what I mean by codes – it looks like this <a href=”http://earningmoneyonlineforfree.com/go/?bonus-code=170″ target=”_blank”><div style=”text-align: center”><img src=”https://infuser.s3.amazonaws.com/banners/wyop/banner-326×280.gif” border=”0″ alt=”” width=”326″ height=”280″ /></div></a> – now this is what that code will put in my solos that I send out or where ever I use the code

So you can see how time saving this is for me – as I can go to multiple text ad sites as you can post an average of 5 of these a day – so what I do is open up multiple sites that I’m on again, add and save them and then again on my daily schedule – I go and repost them daily.  I also do the same thing with solo emails that I send out on these sites – copy, paste, send and off to the next one.

I hope this has given you some helpful tips on how using Metapad is so wonderful – now if you are interesting in this FREE tool – here is where you go Download Metapad here

Effective Time Management

Well as most of you know that my life had turned upside down on me and without some effective time management skills, I would not have been able to get back caught up as quickly.  Before I got my routine down and also learned to put things into perspective, without that, I would still be overwhelmed right now.  Life does throw you some curves and that is why I can’t stress enough to get a routine down.

Each person will have their own routine depending on what they are doing and the avenues that you are pursuing with your online businesses.  The key is to get that routine figured out so that when one of life’s bumps in the road comes along-  you can quickly pick back up and keep going.  Just think of it as picking up a fumble and run with it till you reach your goal line – that is what you have to do here.

Don’t beat yourself up when you can’t get all done that your were doing but stick with your routine – maybe if you were writing 5 posts at a time – then just write 2 – if you were answering 10 questions on yahoo answers, answer just 3, – you get the idea – stay focused – just cut back till you can build back up to where you were – stay consistent with your routine and in no time you will be back to where you were.

Another effective time management tip that I use is when I have been gone for awhile is that I use the buddy system and that is why it’s very important to build those relationships with people.  There will be time that you will need some favors and this could be one of the times – like you have always been there to lend a hand to others – don’t be afraid to ask a friend when you need some help.

Maybe you know someone that you can swap some things with – I love the barter system – I’ll do this for you and in exchange you do this for me.  I have used this several times when I had been sick and it worked great – I would exchange some free advertising on some of my sites in exchange for something that would help me get back to where I was on my daily routine faster.

And if you have hard task that take long or ones that you dread – depending on what they are – and yes we all have them – I find that breaking them up into smaller projects help – don’t try and do them all at the same time or the same day.   I’ll use writing articles for an example as that is my weakness – so what I try to do is break it up into my keyword research, the another time work on an outline, then another time write the actual article.

Do you plan your tasks daily, weekly and monthly?  Do you know how to say no to non-essential tasks? (like sitting in a chat room all day – ouch that one hurt huh – yea I was guilty of that also)  Do you limit distractions? (another one that I battle with as when that Skype light blinked I had to see what was being said – oops another ouch) Do you take the time to do a quality job vs quantity?  (yea I was guilty of this one also – write as many posts, articles, and even comments on others blogs as I could and focused on how many and not was seeing if I was really writing good info)  Do you get the rest that you need and let your brain refresh?  (Ouch again as most of you know that I am so guilty of not sleeping enough)  Do you take a break when you need it?  (Again, guilty as I know I have been here for days straight and didn’t even leave the house – working.  At the time I didn’t see it but as I look back on things that I thought I was doing so well – there were so many mistakes that were made and had to be corrected.)

Effective Time Management is attainable – you just have to keep working at it – these are a few questions to keep in mind when assessing yourself.  Do you or have you had some of the same issues???????

Remembering my Bailey

Some say that you can’t make close friends online with people that you have not physically meet – well I have to disagree and let me tell you – I sometimes think that these people know you better than your off-line friends as they work with you everyday, you are there for each other and that is what building relationships are about.

As most of you know I lost my Bailey this last weekend and here is my blog post Losing your best friend

Ellen who is my partner in crime on here wrote a nice tribute to Bailey on her blog Ode to Bailey

Then my dear friend Kevan from the UK made this awesome framed picture for me – just had to share

So the next time someone tells you that you can’t make real friends online with people that you have never met – well tell them that I said it’s bull crap – I have proof with all the messages that I got yesterday, all the hugs that came thru Skype, all the calls, IM and emails  – this is real people if you just take the time to get to know the people that you add as friends.

Last but not least I would love to share something a dear, dear friend Azar did for me and to me this is priceless – the message is little soft in the beginning but worth turning up your speakers for – http://play.goldmail.com/33km4htv7ipg

Thanks everyone for all your support – it’s all of you that has helped get me thru all this ((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))

Losing your best friend

Well didn’t think this would be my next post but just felt the need to put some of my feeling out there about losing your best friend.  You see my best friend was my Golden Lab, Bailey as he had been with me for almost 12 years and knew me so well.  When I think back now over the last 12 years, no matter what he was there for me and it’s not easy to let that go sometimes but yesterday I had to deal with that – you see God needed him more than I did.

They always say that God don’t give you more than you can handle but that was sure put to a test yesterday.  You know it’s funny how they learn to adjust to your schedule as during the winter I do get on this crazy schedule but he never complained – he’d go out before we went to bed which was sometimes 5, 6 or even 7 AM and then wait for me to get up and start my day.  Yesterday I started my day at 11AM and Bailey just laid there and looked at me – it was like he wanted to get up but just couldn’t.

After some coaxing, I finally got him up and you could see that his hips look like they were going to give out any minute – well he made it outside and under the deck and that was it.  There he laid and by this point you could see is was a chore just lifting his head to look at me.  So I called the vet and of course it’s after hours and if it’s an emergency you have to call a vet that is 45 minute drive from me.  So there I am – what do I do.

This is one of the few times living alone was not easy  as Bailey was at least 100 lbs and there was no way that I was going to get him lifted in the truck by myself.  So I call a friend of mine and Shannon came over and helped me get him from under the deck and out to the truck.  Then talk about the 45 longest drive that I have ever made and I look back on it today and don’t know how I even did it – crying all the way as I knew what the verdict was going to be as Bailey was going to be the 4th dog buried in my back yard and had watch the same thing happen with Shammy, Shasta, and Kesha.

By the time I got to the vet’s office – I checked on him and he just looked at me with this relieved look in his eyes – you know animals know when it’s their time and it’s really selfish on our part to make them suffer anymore because we don’t want to lose them.  When I think back now – he had to be suffering for quite awhile as he would lay around and whin – and me just thought it was him wanting to go outside but now I realize that is was because he was hurting and in pain.

I know in my heart that Bailey is in doggy heaven and not hurting today and that even tho the house feels sooooooooooooo lonely – I have to think about the 12 years of happiness that he brought me – the times that he got me thru some bad time, made me laugh, licked my tears away, and was just there for me when I needed a hug – Bailey will always have a place in my heart but today – I have to believe that him, Shammy, Shasta and Kesha are playing in doggie heaven today.

Time Management

Well a few post back, I was asked how do I manage to get so much done and I’m going to share a few of my tips and tricks that I do that help me with my time.  If you ask me is this time management some will say yes – some will say no – I’m just going to share what works for me.

Do I have time management skills – I would have to say not really – what I do have is a daily and weekly routine that I do that helps me get done what I do get done.  The first thing that I have to tell you is that I did attend a time management workshop once and there were 2 things that stuck with me.

The first was all the time wasted making a to-do list and then trying to decide what you are going to do first.  The second thing was making a pile of needed papers for this to-do list and how much time we take shuffling paper work around.   The same thing can happen online – you have to stay focused on your routines.

Now on a daily basis – this is what I do as most of you know I own traffic exchanges, text ad sites and PTC sites – well the first thing that I do is check all my sites and approve any ads that need to be approved.  Then I answer all my skype messages and there is always many when I finally get online.  There is also some sites that I’m on that I post daily my URL and one of them I had previously wrote about – the LiveLinkCafe.  Next I go to my facebook accounts and I go thru all that has to be done there.

Then to my emails and this is usually where the direction of my day is lead from the emails.  Now I don’t know about you but I can’t stand being behind on emails so I try and get to them all on a daily basis and then I keep up thru out the day by going back and doing them as they come in.  I know it’s just me but I sure sleep better when I finally go to bed knowing that this daily list is done.

Oh a weekly basis it’s a little different – I have one day that I devote to blogs and blogging and what I do is I set down and write 5 – 7 post and then schedule them to come out every 2 – 3 days.  Then I have my Google Alerts set up and I spend my extra time that day – reading others blogs and commenting for my backlinks.

Another day, I devote to NING sites – I will do any updating that needs to be done on them, I also will stop by other members profiles see what they have been up to and touch basis with them, write some blog post, maybe start some discussions and upload a video or pictures.  The key on these site is to make yourself visible and sociable – after you do that on a regular basis – that is when others will start viewing your profile page and how you build those relationships and trust.

One day I will spend writing articles, hub pages, a new rev page at linkedin and other social media like that .  Then another I will spend on te’s all day and get some credits built up – try and meet as many te owners as I can and again build those relationships – when you do – what happens then is that you can work on the barter system with them – and I love doing that.

Then I have what I call cheat sheet (notepad pages) that I have labeled banners codes, link codes and the other one is solos.  Because I have my gmail organized by sites, I can go to any of the list building sites or text ad sites and just copy and paste, copy and paste, copy and paste.  When I need credits, then I go to the folder of the site and click on the ads that are there until I earn enough to do what I need to send out.

Now I don’t forget my videos and I don’t always get them done on a weekly basis but I do try.  The key here is NOT to beat yourself up if you didn’t get something done that was on your list – it will wait till the next day.  I use to do that all the time and you just need to stay focused and there are many things that will come up that you won’t get them all done – life is not this perfect list, perfect daily routine, perfect days or weeks – just don’t stress and learn to go with the flow.

On another day, I like to go the Warriors Forum and that is where I learn so much and believe me you can lose a whole day in there as there is soooooooooooooo much free info in there from people that are doing the same thing that we are and if you have not gotten there yet – then shame on you.  I don’t always comment but I do read, read, read.

Another place I like visiting is Yahoo Answers and what I find there is usually things that I can write about  – and may head over and write a couple post on some of the blogs that I guest write on.  AND then when I just need a break from all this writing, reading, etc. – then I go and play and this is very important – as you do have to have breaks from all this – mentally and physically – mine as you all know is line dancing but if I don’t have that – then I head over to Pogo and play some pool or maybe even bowl a game or two and my other favorite is Mahjong.

Well that kinda give you a look in the life of “me” and my time management.  Hope this helps and remember to eat your frog everyday – click here to see what I’m talking about .
