Perhaps the best strategy in Internet marketing is well-executed search engine optimization. You will get more traffic as your website ranks higher in search results. Here are some tips to get started, and to improve your site’s ranking.  The most important tip I can give you is don’t get consumed with SEO – just as you think you figured it out – it changes.

SEOSearch engine crawlers are always scouring the web for fresh material and updated content. Whenever you update your blog or content, you are making your site more visible to search engines. As an added benefit, if your content is really good you can expect it to be shared. This will bring a lot more people to your site.  This is how my blog ranking came from three million to what it is today in Alexa – keep content out there and putting my post on a schedule makes that easier for me.  When you feel like writing, then write, there is nothing wrong in doing 10 -15 post at a time and schedule them to come out daily or every other day.

Product feeds are an excellent way to generate more site traffic, which will help you build a larger base of customers. This is where you are going to be able to provide important selling points about your products. The best places to submit are shopper comparison sites and the major search engines. Customers can also subscribe to your feed with a feed reader.

Research keywords before you begin. When you are building your site, find what keywords work for you. Keyword research will allow you to understand what search terms people use to navigate in your particular categories. Using these phrases across your site will make your site’s rankings skyrocket.

Having a popular website is about attracting visitors, and getting them to stay on your site. There is evidence that the more time a person is on a site the higher ranked that site will be. The amount of time someone spends on your site will have an impact on your rankings. Using discussion boards and forums is an effective way to keep traffic on your website for quite a while.

Make sure you let people know about your site whenever you can. Whether it is via the internet, like in a forum, or directly to a live person, this is a great way to get the word out about your business. The people you tell will tell other people and your business is sure to grow.

Create a sense of urgency with deals your brand may be offering. If customers feel they only have a limited time for a fantastic offer, they will be more likely to follow through with a purchase. Note, however, that internet marketing sometimes can go overboard with begging customers to take action immediately, so be careful not to go overboard. Keep your “sense of urgency” respectful.

Some have characterized the internet markets as a vast junkyard. Scrolling through the listings on E-Bay, you may agree. What you need is a way for the quality of your product to shine through. Keywords and why they are so important

When I first started , I had no clue what a keyword was even must less how to use them properly. I struggled with them for a long time trying to guess what others would type in when they were trying to find me.

It wasn’t until the classes that I’m taking with The Leaders Rolethat I have learned the importance of the right keywords. So I’m going to tell you some of my experiences so that you can see the difference.

When I first started adding keywords, I made mine so general as I have a website that I sell home and garden decor. Even then I added keywords like gardening, garden decor, home decor, angels, windchimes, gazing globes and wondered why I never got any traffic to my site.

After Jason showed us how in The Leaders Role – wow did my eyes open. I was using keywords that everyone was competing for and this was no way I could ever do that – so who is going to find me if I’m on page 34 out of million pages – just wasn’t going to happen.

So now, being taught the proper way to do keyword research – yea I said research – yea I now I didn’t know that either lolol. I have been able to narrow my target down and went back and changed my keywords and guess what – I’m on the first pages now and the best part is I know that these keywords and keyword phrases are being look for – don’t that sound alot easier????

Don’t Believe All The Crap

You know as a site owner, I see about every ad out there and I can’t believe all the crap that people want you to see and such a shame that there are some that will believe those ads and that is the sad part and why this post.

The internet is big therefore making it easier for more and more cons to get their programs online for others to see. I just wanted to vent here some and let you know to watch out for some keywords in the advertising – most of the time when people use Easy, Fast, Quick, etc. – really stop and think about it – if it was so easy, fast, quick, there would be alot of millionaires walking around don’t you think.

If a person on the street came up to you and said I have this program that is so easy that anyone can do it and you will make lots of money fast and quick – what would your reaction be – you would not believe them and walk away – well the same principle works online.

Don’t get me wrong, you can make money online but it takes putting in a lot of hours, and it’s not easy – there is so much to learn and it’s not quick and don’t happen overnite – but if you work hard, have the right guidance and tools and be persistent – you can make money online.

So when you are reading ads, emails from so-call friends ask yourself – if it is too good to be true – then you are probably right and just move on. Find yourself a great mentor and they are out there – the people that I listen to are on the front page of my blog here – The Leaders Role.

Take the time to get the right training, the right tools and the right directions, the right mindset and you will see what a difference that will make.

There is NOT a quick button people, no easy program, no magic – it still takes hard work – just don’t give up – If you think you CAN or you think you CANT…. you are probably right…….the choice is yours.

Why People Fail

As most of you know, I joined The Leaders Role and wow what i am learning and the live Skype group is just so awesome.  One of the owners of this great group came in and added this

Kris Hanks: please list one thing that comes to mind that is a CAUSE of Failure in our INDUSTRY?

Well, talking about team work – in about 10 minutes – 28 reasons were given – this was so fun to do and to see all the reasons. Kris then gave the group an assignment – pick 3 out of the 28 and write a blog or article.

I have gone thru the list and have picked 3 that I myself can relate with  I first started online.

My first one was FEAR – Being a newbie to the net, you hear all kinds of stories and the bad experiences that people have had. I was so scared that I was going to hit the wrong button and wipe out everything on my computer – I think about this now and laugh to myself at all the times that I have hit the wrong button and have deleted what I just wrote – but you know what all those oops taught me – save, save, save.

The other fear I had was using my name and my picture. Well big mistake, think about it – wouldn’t you rather do business with someone you can see and learn to trust, someone you know that is a real person and not someone with a name like lollipoplillie that has a picture of a peacock for their pic. I don’t know about you but the first thing that came to my mind was –  wonder who this really is, is it a real person – well that is when the lightbulb finally went on and for the last 3 years – you will see my name – google nancy radlinger sometimes and you will see that I got over being shy. This is called BRANDING and this work people – let people see that you are a real person, don’t be shy.

The 2nd I picked is LACK OF SKILLS  – well if you are like me when I first started – this was all GREEK to me – google, yahoo, email, URL, .jpg file, HTML, keywords, meta tags,  and the list goes on and on. Well, like alot of people that I have met are in the same boat – what does a person do – well google has become one of my best friends – if I have a question, get stuck – just google it – you will be surprised how many others had the same issues and you can find your answers. As you start learning your way around the net and social sites – more and more opportuntities (seminars, webinars, ebooks)  will pop up if you just keep searching. I have been so blessed with all the people that I have met on here and have friends all over the world.  I have learned mostly alot by trial and error (and I mean alot lol) – but lessons came out of each one of them. If you are suffering from the lack of skills like I did then find a group that are willing to help you gain the skills you need, give you the support your need and be a friend when you need one. The Leaders Role (wink, wink)

My 3rd one that I picked was MIND SET/Staying Positive.
This one was very hard for me as I just came out of a 25 year marriage and a negative-attitude based family. I do believe  in the power of the Law of Attraction – negative attracts negative and positive attracts positive. So after my divorce, I had a decision to make either I was going to stop being negative – oh poor me, everything happens to me, you know the type. Well, I decided that I had been given a chance to turn things around and I chose to learn to stay positive, positive, positive.  I have been so blessed over the last years and now I know that I am going to have my dreams come true – it’s not the If this happens, my dreams will come true NOW it’s when this happens, my dreams will come true. Yes, I do have bad days but you know I can always find a positive – you just have to look.  Believe in yourself.

You are never too old to learn

After being up for 24 hours, I’m on my wind-down and thought I’d put my thoughts down before heading to bed. You have heard the saying that your world can turn on a dime – well mine has.

Most of you that know me that I have been working online for a couple years now trying to learn what I can to make some money.

I was one of the people that worked hard all my life, put away for a rainy day and did things right and SHOCK – in a day the money was gone just like everyone else in the stock market. So instead of being able to retire and start drawing on my IRA at the age 59 – I’m working more hours than I ever did trying to get that secure feeling back in my life again.

Not knowing where to start, I started like most with Ebay and that help me to keep paying the bills also gave me the opportunity to get rid of some of the clutter that had been sitting around the house lol. I won’t bore you with the roller coaster that my life has taken but will tell you that no matter how prepared you think you are things can change quickly.

I have been attending as many webinars, googling everything I can to learn, meeting people from all over and came to the conclusion that I LOVE being on the net. The last two years I feel that I have obtained a lot of the right pieces but just not sure how to put them together to complete the puzzle till this last week.

I have always been a social butterfly so getting on facebook, myspace and on about every social site out there has just been great for me. They say people come into your life for a reason – BELIEVE IT.

Over the last years, I have met people that taught me about traffic exchanges, text ad sites, PTC, solos, html coding, squeeze pages, splash pages, hot links, keywords, bloggin, – all completely unknown to me 3 years ago. And yes, I even learn to play a mean game of pool on Pogo

Anyway, I was heading to Facebook to play Mafia (that’s where I go for my lunch & supper breaks) – Cory IM and asked if I’d like to attend a webinar – and after being in so many I thought great another one – what’s this one going to be selling and pushing down my throat. So that was my question back to him – what you selling and he said nothing – so that got my attention. He said just a group of business and marketing people getting together and brainstorming –   Online Masterminds Group. My first thought was oh no masterminds – way out of my league but I decided to check it out.

Talking about my life turning on a dime again – here was a group of people from all walks of the business chatting about how to help others succeed – they wanted to share their knowledge with others so that they didn’t have to make the same mistakes they had or waste all the time they had. I was in shock to hear this – this just don’t happen – there has to be a catch somewhere or the price for all this was sure going to be way more than I had. Next Shock – they were offering this and not trying to sell me anything. Where was this group 2 years ago??????? I just said God

When I joined the facebook group. and there was over 1100 when I joined – there is over 1900 as I write this – now we are talking days – it hasn’t even been a week yet – this kind of growth in that period of time – that is just amazing.

Then I was introduced in their live Skype Chat Group and what a welcome. All these people were REAL – they were excited about what they had planned, they had a goal, they had a dream – and after awhile in with them I could see the potential – a ground level opportunity to finally get the answers that I had been looking for so that I could put my puzzle together.

If you have struggled like I have, been ripped off like have, been on brain overload like I have – then join me and this wonderful group – you won’t be sorry. I do have to add that things are NOT going to server to you on a silver platter, they are NOT going to do the work for you – YOU will have to want to succeed and if you are not to that point – then you should just keep hopping around trying this and that and when you get tired – look us up – we’ll still be here. BUT IF YOU ARE READY, then you have found what you have been looking for – the tools, the knowledge, the help that you NEED to finally succeed. Don’t be shy.
