Simple Tips To Make Your Internet Marketing Strategies Work

A few companies have become giants in the business world, while many others have remained small and local.

Most, however, fail to make it off the ground. Most businesses fail at a high rate, and that’s equally true for anyone running an online business. Study the following piece and discover the Internet marketing ideas that can help prevent such an outcome.

Try allowing your customers to leave reviews and ratings on your products. Providing honest feedback from consumers will help new potential customers have confidence in purchasing your products.

Use persuasive words in your emails to customers, encouraging them to take a specific action. Some actions you may try are buying a product or service, visiting a website, or subscribing to a particular magazine. This also helps you measure the success of your email marketing since those actions can be tracked and evaluated!

A good way to get your site users’ opinions is to utilize polls located next to your content. This will help you to keep your site full of content that will appeal to users, and make them feel as if they are being included in your business decisions.  The easiest place that I found is Pollcode.  There are many out there – just Google free site to do polls.

Offering customers a discount after they spend some amount of money can help attract more business. For example, you can offer your customers a 10 percent discount on all orders over $200. Incentives like this will ensure customer loyalty and keep them coming back.

Treat your online work as your business

Internet marketing can be problematic, but you can fix it. Your business will have a good foundation if you approach everyday with a clear understanding of how to answer the questions. If you can resolve a problem for someone, he will purchase from you and let others know about it. That is just what you want to happen.

One of the best ways to ensure success with you business, would be to “know your competition.” Figure out what they are doing and what’s working for them, and do the same thing, but better. Know what they are offering compared to what you are offering, and make the superior quality and value of your products obvious. This is essential for any marketing campaign.

Include customer reviews for your products on your site. Your visitors will enjoy reading others’ opinions of your product and your service. This puts them at ease with doing business with you, increasing the likelihood of them buying from your company.

When your website is created effectively, it will help you become more visible. If your website is too difficult to navigate, you risk losing potential visitors to frustration.

People do business with people they trust – it’s just that simple

Receiving and sustaining your customer’s trust is imperative. Don’t put any suppositions or false information in your marketing. Present client testimonials, test results, and expert endorsements that could be proven if needed.

Include excellent graphics on your website to showcase the products you are selling. The ability to see products in detail is a feature that customers will appreciate, because it helps to assure them they are getting what they want. You may also find that having an upload section is helpful for marketing your products. Current owners may upload pictures of the product they received. Using a “before and after” picture is a great strategy.

If you fail at online business, you will know that it can just open up more opportunity. By using these tips, you can devise a successful online marketing strategy. You can carry you business through to profitability.  Good luck everyone and if you need to learn more Skype me @ nancyradlinger – I’m here to help you

  1. Good post Nancy and great advise.
I do agree with you the product detail is
very important. I don’t buy anything with out
it and user reviews if they have them.

    Thanks,
    Susan

    • Thanks Susan – Yes it sure makes it easy now adays – just Google it and hit enter and it is just amazing the info that is out there – love it.

  2. There is so much value that you offer in this article Nancy, that I look forward to the next post. Too often persons treat there online business like something which require little or no attention or just plain out casual, when in fact it should be treated just as equally as a brick and mortar business. Thanks for sharing.

    • Oh you are so right Kenworth – I see this so much – they treat it like a hobby vs their business and then they wonder why they are moving forward, they make a few dollars here and there – if that is what you are here to do then great – BUT that is not why I’m here. I’m here to have the freedom of working from home, work the hours that I chose but I also work many hours and plan ahead when I want to take time off.

  3. Nancy, I totally agree with this post. Internet Marketing Strategies are things that need to be addressed. I read another interesting post today that described the difference between a marketer and a salesperson:

A Marketer’s main role is to empathize and put himself on prospects’ or customers’ side. (Positioning, promotion, price, packing, distribution, design and etc.)

A Salesman’s main focus is reaching the targets, achieving the numbers and growing the sales which can not be successful by empathizing but mainly focusing on your ‘own’ goals.

As marketers, we need to hone our Internet Marketing Strategies and give our customers what they want.

    • Thanks Jane and love the differences between a marketer and a salesperson. I see so many playing the numbers game and sometimes that works but from what I have seen you have so many unsubscribe because they are not happy that you have to work harder to gain those numbers back – I just don’t understand the logic doing it that way.

  4. Great post, Nancy. Everything you have shared in this is so important to having a successful business. I really like the idea of doing polls. This is a wonderful way of finding out what your customers would like more of. Thank you for sharing.

    • Thanks Tammie – I know I like doing polls and it’s really interesting to see the answers sometimes they surprise you

  5. I like your post Nancy – well written – for me it’s not just a business – I have fun while when I am working with the marketing of my business. What I find is funny is that I am constantly learning new things from others involved in similar work.

    • Oh I agree Anette – I learn everyday and no it don’t seem like work – I never enjoyed my offline job this much – I work more hours than I ever did and totally love it

  6. Another key tip for would-be entrepreneurs is to pursue a business in an area that you at least have some interest in, and preferably passion for. This passion will serve to fuel innovation and help you stay motivated when you hit bumps in the road – and there will be bumps…

    • I totally agree Bob and thanks for stopping by my blog. I always say that you have to get back on the horse of determination one more time than you fell off.

“There’s a difference between interest and commitment.
When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit.
When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.”
