Well, I don’t know about you but no matter how hard you try and not get those pesty fruit flies in your house in the fall – they sure find their way in.  They can be very annoying when crawling all over the computer screen – well here is a tip on how I get rid of them.

You take a mayo lid – turn it upside down and add some Dawn dish detergent (about a quarter size in the bottom – then you fill the lid with vinegar – I know you are thinking uckkkkkkk.  Well you leave this out on the counter overnight and in the morning you will be amazed at how many will be floating in the lid.

The smell of the vinegar attracts them and the Dawn dish detergent kills them.  Now one more tip – I empty the lid in the toliet and put out fresh each day till there are none in the lid.  This is how to get rid of fruit flies and has worked for me for years.
